Iris Hsieh Yu-Hsin, known online as “Nurse Goddess,” was a 31-year-old Taiwanese influencer and former nurse. She was found dead in the bathtub of a hotel room in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on October 22, 2025. At first, police said she had died suddenly, possibly from a heart attack. But after checking new evidence, they reclassified her death as murder under Section 302 of Malaysia’s Penal Code, according to Channel News Asia.Iris Hsieh was very popular on Instagram and OnlyFans, where she was one of Taiwan’s top creators. She had over half a million followers and often shared modeling and lifestyle content. She was in Malaysia working on a video project with Malaysian rapper Namewee (real name Wee Meng Chee) before her death. Police confirmed he was the last person seen with her.

When hotel staff found Iris Hsieh’s body around 1:40 p.m. on October 22, she was lying unresponsive in the bathtub. According to People, Namewee tried giving her CPR before calling for help. At first, authorities believed it was a natural death, but Iris’s family doubted that because she lived a healthy life and had no known medical issues.Soon after, police reviewed CCTV footage and statements from witnesses. They noticed things that didn’t match the first report, and the case was reopened as a murder investigation. Kuala Lumpur police chief Datuk Fadil Marsus confirmed this and said they were questioning people connected to Iris’s final hours, reported Channel News Asia. Namewee, who was working with Iris on her video project, was later arrested on drug charges after police found some pills in the hotel room, as confirmed by Malay Mail. He has denied any drug use or connection to Iris Hsieh’s death. He told the Straits Times that he hopes “the truth will come out soon.”Police have also said they now have strong evidence and will arrest a main suspect soon, as per Malay Mail. Investigators are still waiting for toxicology results and more forensic reports to find the real cause of death.Iris’s sudden death has shocked her fans in Taiwan and Malaysia. Many remember her as a kind, hardworking creator who left her nursing career to follow her dreams online.
