After a strong opening and a solid run through its first 12 days, ‘Dude’ has begun to slow down at the box office. The Pradeep Ranganathan and Mamitha Baiju starrer, directed by debutant Keerthiswaran, earned Rs 91 lakhs (India net) on its 13th day, according to early estimates from the Sacnilk website. With this, the film’s total collection has reached approximately Rs 69 crore across all languages.

Tamil version retains slight edge

Telugu market sees sharper decline

Meanwhile, the Telugu version witnessed a sharper dip with an overall 10.62% occupancy. The film’s Telugu audience turnout ranged between 9.73% in the morning and 11.07% by evening. With weekday earnings dropping below Rs 1 crore, ‘Dude’ is likely to rely on its upcoming weekend performance to cross the Rs 70 crore mark domestically.Directed by Keerthiswaran, Dude stars Pradeep Ranganathan, Mamitha Baiju, R. Sarathkumar, Rohini, and Hridhu Haroon. The story follows two cousins, Agan and Kural, navigating an unexpected emotional connection and the conflict that follows. Although ‘Dude’ is said to be not upto the mark of Pradeep Ranganathan’s previous movies ‘Dragon’ and Love Today’, it is termed as a ‘One time watchable’ flick.
