Enrique Iglesias concert: Singer greets audience with 'Namaste'; kisses fan during show - WATCH

Latin pop superstar Enrique Iglesias set the stage ablaze on Day 1 of his concert in Mumbai city, leaving fans cheering as he belted out his chart-topping hits with some of his signature dance moves. The global icon, got the audience grooving and singing along to his classic hits, including Bailamos, I Can Feel Your Heartbeat, Hero, Baby I Like It and many more. Videos from the event that have since gone viral show Iglesias making a grand entry on-stage to a cheering crowd. While beating the city’s October heat, the singer was also seen bringing on his his signature passion and energy, as his fans screamed, danced and waved lights to the rhythm of the music.

Enrique greets Indian fans saying ‘Namaste’

In one widely shared clip, the Spanish singer can be seen greeting the crowd with folded hands and saying “Namaste,” drawing cheers from thousands of adoring fans.

Later, he reportedly stepped off to greet a few lucky fans standing behind the barricade near the stage. Accompanied by his security team, the singer was seen stepping off stage, much like his other shows and was seen standing on the barricades while giving his fans high-fives. In a clip shared on his fan handles, the singer was seen even hugging some lucky fans and he reportedly ‘kissed’ one fan. Although the kiss was not seen int he video, he was seen laughing as he moved on to greet some more.

About the concert

The concert, part of Iglesias’s ongoing tour, will see the singer hit the stage for 2 nights.This marks his return to India after 13 years. His last concert in the country was in 2012 during his “Euphoria World Tour,” where he performed in Pune, Gurugram, and Bengaluru.Excited about performing in front of Indian audience once again, Enrique in a press note said, “I’ve missed performing in India. The fans there are some of the most loyal and passionate in the world. Since my first show back in 2004, the love has always been unreal. I can’t wait to get back to Mumbai and bring them this new show.”
