‘Outer Banks Season 5’ update: From plot to shoot location, here’s everything we know about the last part

‘Outer Banks,’ the series starring Madelyn Cline, Chase Strokes, and Madison Bailey, never disappointed the audience. The series, with four seasons already released, has been lauded for its storyline, vision, execution, and performances. And considering its reach, Season 5 of ‘Outer Banks’ got a greenlight in no time. According to the announcement by the streamer, the ‘Outer Banks Season 5’ will be released in 2026, marking the end of the beloved series.

‘Outer Banks Season 5’: Plot

Though things have been kept quite hush-hush regarding the plot of the series, it is expected that Season 5 will pick up the pace from where Season 4 left off. It showed Pogues in Morocco, and the death of JJ Maybank (Rudy Pankow), in a heartbreaking finale, as he is stabbed by his biological father.Following JJ’s departure from the show, Josh, the writer, in conversation with Tudum, mentioned, “It sets the stage for an epic fifth and final season. We’re planning a story of redemption, and a season that embodies the friendship that JJ had come to represent. JJ’s death was a hard but necessary piece of the architecture for the story, and we plan on honoring that as much as we can because we love the character as much as the fans do. And Rudy’s a great friend of ours.”

‘Outer Banks Final’ shooting continues after controversy at THIS location

‘Outer Banks’ was recently in hot water after the co-creator, executive producer, co-showrunner, and director Jonas Pate allegedly grabbed and shook a production assistant, according to TMZ. The matter escalated to a level where actor Chase Stokes, who plays John B. Routledge, had to intervene to control. Madelyn Cline, who plays Sarah Cameron, also tried to help him handle the situation. Deadline recently reported that following the alleged incident, the cameras have again started rolling on the sets of ‘Outer Banks Season 5.’ The shooting is taking place in Dubrovnik, Croatia, and it is near completion.
