Kantara Chapter 1 box office day 24: Rishab Shetty film continues dream run, mints Rs 579 crore

Rishab Shetty’s film Kantara: Chapter 1 is performing exceptionally well at the box office. The movie has achieved significant earnings, surpassing Chhaava to become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025. Worldwide collections have crossed Rs 800 crore. Kantara: A Legend – Chapter 1 continued its strong box office performance even on Day 24. Rishab Shetty’s film opened with Rs 61.85 crore on Day 1, driven by major turnout in Karnataka, Telugu, and Hindi regions. After a 26 percent drop on Day 2, it rebounded over the weekend, with Day 4 collections reaching Rs 63 crore. By the end of the first week, the film had earned Rs 337.4 crore, followed by Rs 147.85 crore in the second week and Rs 78.85 crore in the third, maintaining impressive numbers for a multi-language regional release.

Day 24 collections and India total

The Rishab Shetty directorial collected Rs 9 crore crore on October 25. So far, it has minted Rs 579.20 crore in 24 days across all languages in India, according to Sacnilk.Rishab Shetty’s Kantara: Chapter 1 has now surpassed Chhaava to become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025, earning over Rs 800 crore worldwide.

Global box office performance

According to Hombale Films, the period action drama earned Rs 717 crore worldwide in its first two weeks and continued performing strongly. The film added Rs 92 crore globally in just six days, taking its total to Rs 809 crore, the makers said.This surpassed Chhaava’s lifetime total of Rs 807 crore. However, Sacnilk suggested that the film’s earnings were closer to Rs 775 crore after 21 days. The film has been praised not only by audiences and critics but also by several industry figures. Filmmakers Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Ram Gopal Varma, and Anupam Kher, along with cricketer KL Rahul and actor Suniel Shetty, have all hailed it as a cinematic masterpiece.

Rishab Shetty shares behind-the-scenes struggles

Earlier, in a post, Rishab shared a picture of his swollen leg, due to the strenuous action sequences he endured during filming. With the image, Rishab Shetty wrote in Kannada and English, explaining the grueling conditions he faced.
