Cop critical as rifle goes off accidentally in Jammu

JAMMU: A 37-year-old GRP constable sustained critical injuries to his abdomen after his service rifle went off accidentally at Jammu railway station Saturday morning.“Shokat Ahmed, from Anantnag and posted with govt railway police in Jammu, was rushed to Govt Medical College and Hospital by his colleagues… An inquiry has been initiated to ascertain the exact cause and circumstances leading to the incident,” an official said.
