“My Thala Diwali”: Sakshi Aggarwal celebrates with husband Navneet

“My Thala Diwali”: Sakshi Agarwal celebrates Diwali with husband Navneet, shares shopping fun and childhood memories - Exclusive

Sakshi Agarwal, the talented actress known for her charm and versatility on screen, is celebrating a very special Diwali this year. Sakshi Agarwal, who married her longtime friend Navneet earlier this January, celebrates her first Diwali with her husband, Navneet. Freshly married, Sakshi Agarwal describes happiness on her “Thala Diwali,” a moment filled with emotion and new beginnings, in an exclusive chat with ETimes.

“My Thala Diwali”: Sakshi Agarwal expresses her joy

Sakshi Agarwal shares how celebrating Diwali as a couple brings a sense of joy. She said, “This Diwali is very special for me because it’s my first Diwali after marriage, my Thala Diwali. Celebrating it together for the first time feels emotional and exciting. Planning everything from outfits to décor, sweets, and pooja makes it even more memorable. It’s the start of new traditions as husband and wife, and I am truly looking forward to it.”

Diwali shopping fun: Navneet steals the spotlight

Sakshi recalls some adorable Diwali moments with Navneet and said, “Surprisingly, my husband was way more excited about Diwali shopping than I was! He picked up diyas, lights, sweets — basically everything he could find. At one point, I thought, “Okay, I think we have enough lanterns for three Diwalis!” It was really cute to see him so involved. This first Diwali together feels extra special because we are both equally invested in making our home festive.

Childhood memories light up Sakshi Agarwal’s festive spirit

Reflecting on her childhood, Sakshi Agarwal fondly shares her favorite Diwali memories. “My favorite Diwali memories are from my childhood mornings — waking up early, taking an oil bath, wearing new clothes, and bursting crackers with cousins. The smell of sweets and the sound of laughter made those moments magical. Those simple memories still make my heart smile,” said Sakshi Agarwal with a heart full of remembrance.

Cinema and Diwali: Sakshi Agarwal opens up on the long connect

The ‘Kaala’ actress also comments on the growing role of movies in modern Diwali celebrations. She notes that “Watching a big Diwali release has become a tradition for many families. Cinema brings people together with laughter, emotions, and songs. For actors, it’s heartwarming to know that fans include our films in their Diwali celebrations. It shows how closely connected cinema and festivals are in India”.

The newlywed actress spreads happiness this Diwali

For her personal Diwali plans, the ‘Viswasam’ actress says that “This year, we’re keeping it cozy yet festive, doing the pooja together, spending time with family, and lighting up the house. I also want to make this Diwali meaningful, so we’re planning to share sweets and gifts with some people around us who may not have the means to celebrate. I believe spreading happiness is the real sparkle of Diwali,” concluded Sakshi Agarwal as she prepares to relish her Thala Diwali. Go to Source
