Kubbra opens up on her abortion and the emotional turmoil

Kubbra Sait opens up on her abortion and the emotional turmoil that she went through: 'God was watching and I would have to face...'

Actor Kubbra Sait known for projects like ‘Sacred Games’ and was last seen in ‘Son Of Sardaar 2’, was a contestant on ‘Rise And Fall’ and got evicted last week. The actress has now opened up on one of the toughest decisions of her life, which is to get an abortion. Kubra reflected on the emotions she went through and how she has made peace with it. The Sacred Games actor reflected on the inner turmoil she once faced, and how time has helped her come to terms with her decision, finding both peace and strength in it. Kubbra said on Viral Bhayani’s Youtube channel, “It’s been many years since that happened, and I’ve had plenty of time to think about it and heal from it. But when a moment like that comes in your life, you find yourself conflicted because along with you are your faith, your responsibilities, and the world around you. You know what your duties are, you’re aware of how society sees you, and you feel torn between what’s right and what’s wrong.”She continued, “At that time, you don’t really know whether the decision you’re making is correct or not. But today, I can say with full confidence that the decision I made then was the right one for me. Because I know that even if I had made a mistake, God was watching and I would have to face the consequences there, in the hereafter.” In the past, Kubbra has admitted that it took her years to emotionally process the experience. While working on a project later in her career, she often dealt with bouts of illness, heavy bleeding, and irritability, yet chose to endure it quietly, keeping her pain to herself. It was only when she began writing her 2022 memoir ‘Open Book: Not Quite a Memoir’ that she was able to truly reflect on what she had gone through. “Writing it down helped me understand that I needed to be kind to myself and to the choices I made,” she had shared earlier.Since her breakout role in Sacred Games (2018), Kubbra has steadily carved a distinct place for herself in the industry, featuring in projects like ‘Farzi’, ‘The Trial’, ‘Waqalat From Home’, and ‘Shehar Lakhot. She will be seen next in ‘Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai.’
