‘Tech glitches happen’: Fans react to Big B’s 2 am apology

'Tech glitches happen': Fans react to Amitabh Bachchan's 2 am apology for responding late to his birthday wishes

Bollywood’s legendary star Amitabh Bachchan recently celebrated his 83rd birthday. Every year, irrespective of getting swamped by messages and greetings on his birthday, the actor takes time out to reply. This year, because his mobile phone malfunctioned, the actor couldn’t reply to every fan, and for the same reason, he issued an apology at 2 am on Wednesday. Netizens reacted to the late-night apology, appreciated the actor for being so humble and down to earth, and even said, ‘tech glitches happen.’

Amitabh Bachchan’s 2 am apology to his fans

Taking to X (formerly called Twitter), Amitabh Bachchan explained why some people didn’t get a reply from him after they sent him a birthday message. He wrote, “First of all, I want to apologize to all those who wished me on my birthday on October 11 and did not receive a response from me. My mobile has suddenly started malfunctioning, and I am unable to reply. My gratitude and lots of love to all.”

Fans’ reaction

Highlighting that there was nothing to apologize for, and Amitabh Bachchan certainly needed a break, and so did his phone, several comments poured in. “कोई बात नहीं सिर 🙏 What great birthday gifts you received ☺️🙏 Many happy returns!”“Understandable, you needed a break too!!” – wrote another fan. Further, emphasizing that technology can play funny games, a third internet users wrote – “No worries at all, tech glitches happen to the best of us! Wishing you a belated happy birthday and hoping your mobile gets back on track soon.”On a lighter note, one comment read – “The audacity of a mobile to misbehave on the birthday of a legend. Perhaps it simply couldn’t process the sheer volume of affection. A true digital martyr for your gracious gratitude, sir.

A few more comments that caught attention include:“Maalique. Don’t apologize, superstar 😎 You’re famous enough to have a huge fanbase — replying to all of us would take days! Technology trauma. Just happy you had a great day 🎂”“Sir, your phone didn’t misbehave; it just took Amitabh Bachchan-level rest.” “Even gadgets need recovery after your birthday traffic 😁”

The ‘KBC’ controversy

Recently, a young child appeared as a guest on Amitabh Bachchan’s ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati.’ While he was on the hot seat, his behavior was not appreciated by many. He has been facing criticism for not being polite and misbehaving with Big B. Go to Source
