Salman Khan’s Sikandar may have failed to impress at the box office, but the film continues to make headlines over the debate surrounding the superstar’s work ethic. After director AR Murugadoss reportedly blamed Salman for the film’s underwhelming performance and alleged that the actor would arrive late on set, actor Vindu Dara Singh has come out in support of the Bollywood star.

Vindu dismisses claims about Salman arriving late on set

In a recent interview with Kadak, Vindu, who has shared screen space with Salman in several films, strongly refuted claims that the actor is habitually late.”Maine Salman ke saath 5-6 pictures ki hai. He is very clear agar unko 10 baje bulaya hai, he will be there at the time. Agar unki need 7 baje hai to wo 7 baje aayga, otherwise 9-10 baje jo time director bolega uss time aata hai. Ye galat baat hai ki Salman late aata hai,” Vindu said.Translated, the actor stated that Salman is extremely particular about reporting to work on time and arrives according to the schedule set by the director. He maintained that the perception of Salman frequently arriving late is incorrect.Vindu further argued that Salman generally works only one shift, leaving little room for scheduling conflicts. The actor noted that because Salman dedicates himself to a single shift, questions about him arriving late to a set do not arise in the manner being suggested.

Vindu recalls conversation with Salman after Sikandar’s failure

During the interview, Vindu also opened up about a conversation he had with Salman following Sikandar’s disappointing box-office performance.”Main poocha ye kya ho gaya. Unhone bola Ye (AR Murugadoss) bhi fail ho gaya. Dekh le, jab picture nhi chalti hai to aise blame krte hai,” he recalled.According to Vindhu, Salman suggested that when a film fails to perform as expected, blame is often shifted among those involved in the project.

‘Salman is a very sensitive person’

Concluding his remarks, Vindu described Salman as someone who is deeply emotional despite not always showing it publicly.”Salman bahut hi sensitive aadmi hai. He might not show it, but jo yaad rakhta hai wo sensitive bhi hoga,” he said. The actor added that Salman’s ability to remember and stay connected with people reflects a sensitive side of his personality that many may not immediately see.
