Kannada actor-comedian Raju Talikote passes away due to cardiac arrest - Report

Legendary actor and comedian Raju Talikote breathed his last at Manipal Hospital in Udupi, succumbing to complications from age and a heart attack. Renowned for his memorable performances as a comedic drunkard, Talikote had just wrapped filming on a new project. His family has announced that his farewell ceremonies will take place in Vijayapura.

Veteran actor and comedian Raju Talikote has passed away today. The actor breathed his last at the Manipal Hospital in Udupi. As per the reports, he was going through age-related illness. As per the reports, the actor completed the shooting for his upcoming film at around 6 pm in the evening on Sunday. The report further stated that at around midnight, he suffered a heart attack, after which he was rushed to the hospital. However, he could not survive and took his last breath.Born as Rajesaba Maktumasaab Talikoti, popularly known as Raju Talikote, he hailed from Chikkasindagi village of Sindagi taluk of Vijayapur district. The actor-comedian became a household name due to his drunkard characters in movies. He was the owner of the Khasgateshwar Drama Board of Talikoti in North Karnataka.The film he was shooting for also starred Shine Shetty. As per the reports, the late soul had suffered a cardiac arrest earlier as well; however, he was treated for the same, and a stent was inserted in his body. Reportedly, since the pressure on him increased, he might have suffered a heart attack. His son stated that the last rites of the actor will be performed in Vijayapura.Reportedly, Shine Shetty stated that Raju Talikote faced difficulty in breathing, and hence, he took him to the hospital. He said, “He was being treated. But he passed away today. He had participated in the shooting of our movie for 2 days. The movie has not been titled yet.”According to the reports, has featured in films like ‘Manasare’, ‘Pancharangi’, ‘Life Is That’, ‘Rajdhani’, ‘Alemari’, ‘Maina’, and ‘Topiwala’. The late actor had participated in the seventh season of ‘Bigg Boss Kannada’. The actor also worked in several TV shows.The Kannada movie industry as well as the theater industry have been mourning the demise of Raju Talikoti.
