Alia Bhatt looked like a vision in couture at the Durga Puja festivities in Mumbai. Styled by celebrity fashion stylist, Rhea Kapoor, Alia Bhatt was draped in a custom handwoven Dhakai Jamdani saree designed by couturiers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla.

Bringing timeless, old-world Bollywood charm to the festivities, Alia paired the elegant pista green couture saree with a full sleeved chikankari blouse. Intricately designed to celebrate tradition, Alia’s Durga Puja ensemble is a reminder that craftsmanship in couture is timeless.

Here’s How You Can Style Your Saree The Way Alia Bhatt Did

Rich in texture and craftsmanship, the saree was draped with the pallu in front which drew everyone’s attention to the intricate zardozi borders in gold and silver. Thus making the drape not just visibly opulent but is also great styling tip to make sure your festive celebrations are hands and hassle free.

The chikankari blouse on its own is a hero piece! The naqshi borders on the blouse add a pop of shimmer to the tonal embroidered canvas. You can pair it with a saree like Alia did or a contemporary lehenga in hues of vibrant or shimmery shades.

Alia Bhatt wore the traditional Kanauti earrings, which belonged to Rhea Kapoor’s mom, Sunita Kapoor.

Styling Tradition With A Lot Of Love

Complementing Alia’s traditional and timeless look, was Rhea Kapoor’s mom, Sunita Kapoor’s Kanauti earrings. Rhea also went on to thank her mom on her Instagram post, for sharing the beautiful earrings with her.

The traditional earrings draped from the ear featured multi-layered strings of pearls adding old world charm to Alia’s festive look. Alia’s soft wavy hairstyle and sun-kissed glam done by celebrity hairstylist Amit Thakur and celebrity makeup artist Puneet B Saini respectively, beautifully brought Alia’s look together. While Alia chose to let the earrings shine, she added a pop of red in the form of bangles.
