Russian President Vladimir Putin is likely to visit India in the first week of December for the 23rd annual India-Russia bilateral summit, sources said. An official confirmation is still awaited, and more details are expected soon.
In a press briefing, Deputy National Security Adviser Pavan Kapoor has also confirmed that active preparations are underway for President Putin’s visit in December. The summit is expected to cover a broad range of issues, reflecting the depth of the strategic partnership between the two countries.

Earlier, on 28 September, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, speaking at the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), also confirmed that a visit by Putin to India is being planned.
“We have a very extensive bilateral agenda, trade, military, technical cooperation, finance, humanitarian matters, healthcare, high-tech, artificial intelligence, and of course close coordination at the international level within the SCO, BRICS and bilaterally,” Lavrov had stated.
