Mahindra & Mahindra reported an 11 per cent rise in its domestic auto sales at 95,978 units in September 2025, compared with 84,558 units in the same month last year.

Passenger and commercial vehicles

In the utility vehicles segment, Mahindra sold 56,233 units in the domestic market, registering a 10 per cent increase from 51,062 units a year earlier. Domestic commercial vehicle sales stood at 26,728 units, up 18 per cent year-on-year.

Within commercial vehicles, light commercial vehicles (under 2 tonnes) fell 2 per cent to 3,386 units, while those between 2–3.5 tonnes grew 21 per cent to 23,342 units. Sales of three-wheelers, including electric models, rose 30 per cent to 13,017 units.

Exports and overall performance

Exports soared 43 per cent to 4,320 units in September, compared with 3,020 units last year. Overall, Mahindra Auto’s sales, including both domestic and export units, totalled 100,298 units in September 2025, marking a 16 per cent increase over 86,578 units in the same month last year.

“Thanks to the impetus from GST 2.0 and the preceding weeks’ pent-up demand, we have seen robust growth in dealer reported customer retails during the first nine days of Navratri, with over 60 per cent growth in the SUV segment and over 70 per cent growth in the CV segment compared to the first nine days of Navratri last year,” said Nalinikanth Gollagunta, CEO, Automotive Division, M&M Ltd.

“The surge in festive demand has placed significant constraints on availability of trailers. We are working to improve dispatches to our dealer network within the constraints,” he added.
