‘People Were Stabbed’: Eyewitness Recalls Karur Stampede Horror While Interacting With NDA Leaders

An NDA delegation visited Karur after a stampede at the TVK rally killed 41. A woman claimed people were stabbed, causing panic, violence, injuries, and confusion among the crowd.

As an NDA delegation visited Karur to probe the circumstances leading to the deadly stampede that claimed 41 lives, they also interacted with locals and eyewitnesses.

A woman who claimed to have witnessed the chaos at the TVK rally informed the visiting panel that knives were used to stab people during the stampede.

Describing the scene as terrifying, she recounted how panic spread rapidly as violence broke out, leading to injuries and widespread confusion among the crowd.

The eight-member also visited the stampede site and a hospital where those injured in the stampede were admitted. After meeting the affected families, BJP MP Hema Malini-led panel will submit a report to BJP National President JP Nadda.
