PM Modi Welcomes Trump’s Gaza Peace Plan: ‘Pathway To Long-Term Peace’

The development came after Trump released a 20-point roadmap that he said could bring “an immediate end” to the Gaza war if both Israel and Hamas agree.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday welcomed US President Donald Trump’s comprehensive plan to end the Gaza war and said that it is a “viable pathway to long-term and sustainable peace, security and development for the Palestinian and Israeli people”. PM Modi further extended support to Trump’s effort to end the conflict and secure peace.

Taking to X, PM Modi wrote, “We welcome President Donald J. Trump’s announcement of a comprehensive plan to end the Gaza conflict. It provides a viable pathway to long term and sustainable peace, security and development for the Palestinian and Israeli people, as also for the larger West Asian region. We hope that all concerned will come together behind President Trump’s initiative and support this effort to end conflict and secure peace.”

The plan was announced in Washington following Trump’s meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and shared with Arab leaders during last week’s UN General Assembly.
