Tata introduces ADAS in Nexon.ev 45 at ₹17.29 lakh

Tata.ev, India’s largest four-wheeler EV manufacturer, has introduced Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) in the Nexon.ev 45. The company has also added new variants, including the Empowered +A trim priced at ₹17.29 lakh (ex-showroom) and the Nexon.ev 45 DARK edition, priced at an additional ₹20,000.

The DARK edition carries a blacked-out design theme, both exterior and interior, and will be offered alongside other variants. The company also announced that the entire Nexon.ev line-up is now Bharat-NCAP five-star certified.

Safety and features

The ADAS suite in the Nexon.ev includes Traffic Sign Recognition, Lane Centering System, Lane Departure Warning, Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning (for pedestrians, cyclists and cars), Autonomous Emergency Braking (for pedestrians, cyclists and cars), and High Beam Assist.

The vehicles will also feature a lifetime high-voltage battery warranty for the first owner.

Vivek Srivatsa, Chief Commercial Officer, Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said, “The Nexon.ev is a clear representation of how we have worked towards consistently enriching appeal of our products to increase their value proposition. With the introduction of ADAS safety tech, and the launch of the DARK edition, we are bringing a distinct and sophisticated aesthetic to the Nexon.ev, while boosting its safety and premium credentials even further.”

Range and charging

The Nexon.ev 45 DARK edition offers a real-world range of 350–370 km (C75 standard). It supports fast charging from 20 per cent to 80 per cent in 40 minutes, with up to 150 km of range added in 15 minutes.

Key features include a panoramic sunroof, Vehicle-to-Vehicle charging, Vehicle-to-Load technology, a 31.24 cm Harman touchscreen infotainment system, a 26.03 cm instrument cluster, a rear window sunshade and ambient lighting.
