Arjun’s grandmom once slammed Vinod Khanna for THIS

Did you know Arjun Kapoor's grandmother once slammed Vinod Khanna for his unprofessional behaviour? 'Such artistes should be blacklisted'

Arjun Kapoor’s grandmother, Sattee Shourie, recounted her challenging experience with Vinod Khanna during the filming of *Farishtay*. She criticized his unprofessionalism, citing consistent late arrivals and early departures that resulted in only two hours of shooting daily and significant financial losses for producers. Shourie advocated for blacklisting such artists due to their lack of commitment.

Arjun Kapoor’s grandmother, Sattee Shourie, once recalled her challenging experience working with Vinod Khanna in Farishtay. She described him as difficult to work with and also called out his unprofessional behaviour.

‘A heart of iron, a body of stone’

In a throwback interview with Lehren, Sattee talked about her experience working with Vinod Khanna in the 1991 film Farishtay. She shared, “Vinod Khanna naam ke difficult aadmi ke saath kaam karna kitna mushkil hai. Aapko lohey ka dil aur pathar ka shareer banana padta hai, itney difficult aadmi ke saath kaam karne ke liye (I have no words to say how difficult it is to work with a man named Vinod Khanna. You have to make a heart of iron, a body of stone, to work with such a difficult man).”

A Year After Break-Up, Arjun Kapoor & Malaika Arora Share Warm Hug At ‘Homebound’ Screening

Elaborating fuether, she added, “Ever since he has returned, just look at the condition of all his producers. Neither do they wake up on time, nor do they ever arrive on time. Neither do they ever think that the director who calls the lights, camera and the rest of the actors at 9:30 am, reaches the shooting at 2:30 pm, how much money is lost in 5 hours. They never thought about this.”

Only two hours of shooting a day

“Aapko pata hi nahi hota hai ki ye jo Vinod Khanna naam ka praani jo hai, woh apne bistar se uthkar subha set pe pohncheyga ki nahi. Har din agar aap 2:30 pm pe aate ho aur 4:30 bjey chaley jaatey ho toh sirf 2 ghanta shooting hoti hai (You don’t even know whether this person named Vinod Khanna will get up from his bed and reach the set in the morning or not. Every day, if you come at 2:30 PM and leave at 4:30 PM, then only 2 hours of shooting takes place),” she stated.

‘Such artistes should be blacklisted’

Sattee concluded by saying, “Aur jo paisa baaki ke 6 ghante ka producer ka barbad hota hai woh Vinod Khanna na bharey? Ye professional behaviour nahi hai, mai toh request karungi ki iss tarha ke artist ko toh blacklist kar dena chahiye (And the money that is wasted by the producer for the remaining 6 hours, should Vinod Khanna not pay that? This is not professional behaviour, I would request that such artistes should be blacklisted).”Meanwhile, Farishtay also featured Dharmendra, Sridevi, and Rajinikanth in key roles. The film tells the story of Gayatri, who lives with two close friends and later marries Arjun, a police inspector. Her world turns upside down when Arjun is killed, and she discovers that her friends are working for his killer. Go to Source
