Election Commission of India, Union Minister, and politicians across party lines on Sunday hailed Surya Kumar Yadav-led team India after Men in Blue posted a 5-wicket win over Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium to clinch the coveted Asia Cup 2025 as they chased down a target of 147.
The poll body congratulated Team India for their victory and also appealed to vote in the upcoming elections. India beat Pakistan by 5 wickets on Sunday (September 28) to win the final of the Asia Cup 2025. In a thrilling low-scoring final, half-centurion Tilak Varma kept his cool till the end as India clinched their ninth Asia Cup title.
India bowled out Pakistan for a modest 146 and then chased down the target of 147 with two balls remaining. Varma smashed an unbeaten 69 off 53 balls, while Shivam Dube contributed a breezy 33 off 22 balls during a vital 60-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
