Election Commission of India, Union Minister, and politicians across party lines on Sunday hailed Surya Kumar Yadav-led team India after Men in Blue posted a 5-wicket win over Pakistan at the Dubai International Stadium to clinch the coveted Asia Cup 2025 as they chased down a target of 147.

The poll body congratulated Team India for their victory and also appealed to vote in the upcoming elections. It said, “????. ????. ????. ????. ????. ????. ????. ????. ???? 🏆 Congrats Team India🇮🇳🇮🇳 Asia Champs! #INDvPAK #AsiaCupFinal #IndiaVsPakistan #indvspak2025 Now it’s your turn – slay your voting responsibility ✨ #VoteLikeAChamp.”

India beat Pakistan by 5 wickets on Sunday (September 28) to win the final of the Asia Cup 2025. In a thrilling low-scoring final, half-centurion Tilak Varma kept his cool till the end as India clinched their ninth Asia Cup title.

India bowled out Pakistan for a modest 146 and then chased down the target of 147 with two balls remaining. Varma smashed an unbeaten 69 off 53 balls, while Shivam Dube contributed a breezy 33 off 22 balls during a vital 60-run partnership for the fifth wicket.
