Aditya Narayan reveals his father Udit Narayan used to hit him: 'I was beaten a lot, but back then…'

Aditya Narayan, the prodigal son of Bollywood’s renowned singer, Udit Narayan, recently shared about the bond he shares with his father. The young singer stated that his father was quite “strict” as a parent. Aditya even revealed that he started earning at a very young age. Let’s take a look at what he has to say.

In an interview with Bharti Singh and Haarsh Limbachiyaa on their YouTube channel, Aditya Narayan shared that his father, Udit Narayan, gave him “a good dose of discipline” until he turned 18. He further shared, “He would hit me. I was beaten a lot. But back then, it was almost normal.”The singer went on to share that among his friends, they would compare who got the maximum beating at home. However, Aditya also added that his father was a balanced personality, as along with the beating, he also loved him. Jr Narayan said, “He loved me, but he also disciplined me. He was very strict.”Talking about how things are different in the current era, he shared that times have changed and parents cannot raise their hand on kids now.

Aditya Narayan says he paid his own school fees

In the same interview, Aditya Narayan shared that after he went to London for studies, he needed financial help from his father. He revealed that it was the first time he had asked his dad for financial support. The singer shared it was the first time Udit Narayan paid for his education.He said, “Until then, school and college were quite affordable, and since I was earning, I managed on my own. I remember paying just Rs 1,800 for an entire year of school.”In the end, Aditya Narayan said that it is all about perspective, as he could have been sulking over things like his dad beating him during his childhood; however, he chose to think in another way—that it helped him become who he is now.
