Kirti Kulhari is making waves on the global stage with her latest film, Full Plate, which had its grand premiere at the Busan International Film Festival 2025 on September 18. Known for her compelling performances and commitment to powerful, meaningful cinema, Kirti expressed her joy and pride at representing India at what is often described as Asia’s biggest and most celebrated film festival.
Kirti Kulhari has not only impressed audiences with her on-screen presence but also turned heads with her impeccable style choices at Busan. On the opening day of the festival, Kirti embraced a strong and commanding presence with a boss-lady-inspired ensemble: an oversized pant and suit combination that exuded confidence and elegance.

Day two, however, brought a completely different vibe. Kirti opted for an ethereal ethnic look that blended tradition with modern charm. She wore a vibrant yellow saree highlighted by a multi-coloured border in shades of grey, white and subtle pastels. Draped in a way that balanced tradition with contemporary styling, the saree revealed a yellow blouse with a plunging neckline.
Her accessories included a delicate silver-toned necklace featuring a crescent moon pendant, paired with a matching bracelet or bangle that added just the right amount of sparkle. With sleek, shoulder-length hair parted to the side and makeup kept natural with well-defined brows, subtle eyeliner and a nude lip colour, she embodied understated glamour.
Sharing pictures from the event, Kirti captioned the post: “It’s rare in life when #hardwork = #greatwork . #fullplate my new film is one such #creation and am super proud of it . Directed by the lovely Tannishtha Chatterjee. Produced by Ashutosh Entertainments. Full Plate is directed by National Award-winning actor-turned-filmmaker Tannishtha Chatterjee and produced by Ashutosh Entertainments. The film presents an intimate and moving exploration of themes such as food, faith and the everyday resilience of women.
In the film, Kirti Kulhari takes on the role of Amreen, a homemaker with an extraordinary gift for cooking. At first glance, Amreen appears to be the picture of an obedient wife. However, as the narrative unfolds, the audience is introduced to her deeper layers — her curiosity, her quirks and her spirited individuality that challenges expectations.

This is not Kulhari’s first brush with the Busan International Film Festival. Her 2013 film Jal also premiered at the prestigious event, making her second appearance with Full Plate even more special.
