Salman Khan recalls being thrown out of school

Salman Khan recalls being thrown out of school because Salim Khan couldn't pay his fees on time, Aamir Khan shares a similar experience

Salman Khan and Aamir Khan, who once headlined the cult comedy Andaz Apna Apna, recently revealed an unknown chapter from their childhood. Appearing together on Two Much with Kajol and Twinkle Khanna, the actors shared that they had attended the same school, though they didn’t know each other back then.Salman recalled, “Apparently we were in the same school together. But we don’t remember that because I was there till fourth grade, then I was thrown out of the school.”

Why Salman was punished

The actor explained that the incident leading to his expulsion was a misunderstanding. “I was running with a friend when he tripped over my leg and chipped his teeth. They thought I had done it deliberately,” he said. But it wasn’t just discipline issues that put Salman in the spotlight — it was also unpaid fees. “I was punished outside, and my father (Salim Khan) asked, ‘What has he done now?’ My teacher told him, ‘No Mr Khan, it is not his fault, it’s your fault. The fees were not paid on time, so we kept him outside.’ My father said, ‘Then you should be making me stand there.’”Despite Salim Khan clearing dues with the principal, a few weeks later Salman was taken out of the school.

Aamir shares a similar memory

Aamir nodded in agreement, adding that his family too faced difficulties in paying fees on time. “Yes, I do remember my parents couldn’t pay fees either, and then they would announce our names in the assembly,” he said.

What’s next for the iconic duo

While Salman and Aamir haven’t reunited on screen since Andaz Apna Apna (1994), Aamir recently confirmed that a sequel to the comedy classic is in the works, keeping alive hopes of watching the duo recreate their magic once again.
