F1 becomes the 15th biggest Hollywood grosser in India

Brad Pitt’s ‘F1’ goes past Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder to become the 15th biggest Hollywood grosser in India

Brad Pitt and Joseph Kosinski’s F1 film has completed thirteen weeks in Indian theaters. It has become the highest grossing Hollywood film of the year in India. The film surpassed Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible- The Final Reckoning. F1 has also become the 15th biggest Hollywood film of all times in India. It beat Chris Hemsworth’s Thor: Love and Thunder.

Back in the 1970s and 80s one would hear that films have been rushing for 25 weeks or 50 weeks in the theaters. But with time the duration kept on increasing and in today’s time it has gone down to 8 weeks by which even the biggest Bollywood films would be available on OTT platforms. But Brad Pitt and Joseph Kosinski’s F1 is made of another material. The film has not only completed thirteen weeks in India, it has also been setting benchmarks in the country. A few weeks ago the F1 went past Tom Cruise’s Mission: Impossible- The Final Reckoning( 104.15 crore) to become the highest grossing Hollywood film of the year in India. And with that one thought that F1 would be folding up its theatrical business but its distributors in the country had a different plan. The film has been holding up really well with its audience and there is a continued demand for the film’s English version which has still kept the film in the theaters.

F1 has set another benchmark for Hollywood films in the country, it has become the 15th biggest Hollywood film of all times in India beating Chris Hemsworth and Natalie Portman’s 2022’s Thor: Love and Thunder. Brad Pitt’s film has minted Rs 105.02 crore in its 92 day run at the box office going past Thor’s collection of Rs 104.74 crore. Going by the collections it seems impossible for the film to cross into the Top 10 list as for that it has have to cross collection of films like Fast & Furious 7 ( Rs 108 crore), Fast X ( Rs 109.80 crore), Mission Impossible: Dead Reckoning ( Rs 110.30 crore) and Godzilla X Kong: The New Empire ( Rs 112.50 crore).
