Activist Sonam Wangchuk was arrested on Friday by Leh Police under the National Security Act (NSA), days after violent protests in Ladakh killed four people and left over 90 injured. Wangchuk has been accused of inciting people through his provocative statements during his hunger strike for Ladakh’s inclusion in the Sixth schedule and for statehood.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) strongly dismissed remarks by NATO Secretary-General Mark Rutte, who claimed that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had recently questioned Russian President Vladimir Putin over his Ukraine strategy during a phone call.
In a sharply worded statement, the MEA said, “We have seen the statement by NATO Secretary-General Mr. Mark Rutte regarding a purported phone conversation between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Vladimir Putin. The statement is factually incorrect and entirely baseless. At no point has Prime Minister Modi spoken with President Putin in the manner suggested. No such conversation has taken place.” READ MORE
Dismantle Terror Network Or Face Consequences: Russia, China, Pakistan And Iran Warn Afghanistan
On the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA), Russia, China, Pakistan and Iran, in a joint statement, issued a blunt warning to the Taliban, warning Kabul to dismantle terror networks or face consequences.

The counsels for Priya Sachdev Kapur and Karisma Kapoor’s children on Friday told the Delhi High Court they would not disclose the contents of Sunjay Kapur’s will to the media. The assurance was given during a hearing in the inheritance dispute over the late businessman’s estate.
At the hearing, the court permitted Priya, the widow, to submit a list of Kapur’s assets in a sealed cover. Her counsel also asked that the documents shared in court be kept confidential and protected by non‑disclosure agreements. READ MORE

Pakistan internationals Haris Rauf and Sahibzada Farhan have reportedly pleaded not guilty in their hearing over the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI)’s complaint that they made ‘provocative gestures’ during the Super Four clash in the 2025 Asia Cup.
According to India Today, Farhan even name-dropped India legends, Virat Kohli and MS Dhoni, saying that gun-fire celebration have been used before in the sport.
