After the failure of ‘Hari Hara Veera Mallu’, the Power star Pawan Kalyan has made his massive comeback and proved why he is one of the most bankable actors in Telugu film industry.Pawan Kalyan’s latest release ‘They Call Him OG’ which is directed by Sujeeth, opened to magnificent response on September 25, 2025. The movie has raked in an estimated Rs 90.25 crore worldwide on day one, including presales.

A thundering start for ‘OG’ across languages

According to early estimates from Sacnilk, ‘They Call Him OG’ collected around Rs 70 crore net in India on its opening day, across all languages. Adding the impressive presale numbers of Rs 20.25 crore, the film’s total climbed to Rs 90.25 crore. Telugu region had 69.35% occupancy on Thursday, particularly peaking during the night shows at 77.51%. The Tamil version saw a modest 18.36% occupancy, while Hindi and Kannada versions posted 10.37% and 9.19% respectively.

They Call Him OG is not just about Pawan Kalyan’s magnetic presence. The film boasts an ensemble cast including Priyanka Arul Mohan, Emraan Hashmi, Prakash Raj, Arjun Das, and Sriya Reddy. Directed by Sujeeth, Emraah Hashmi plays the antagonist in this action entertainer.Meanwhile, the movie is getting mixed reviews from the audiences.
