Swachh Sujal Gaon exhibition shows impact of clean water in UP villages

NEW DELHI: The Swachh Sujal Gaon exhibition, set up by the Jal Jeevan Mission at Hall No. 7 of this year’s International Trade Show, highlights how clean drinking water has transformed life in villages across Uttar Pradesh. The 496-square-meter exhibition focuses on the Har Ghar Nal Yojana, which has brought tap water to over 24 million rural homes.Radhakrishna Tripathi, media advisor at the State Water and Sanitation Mission, said the exhibition demonstrates how access to water has improved health, reduced migration, and created local employment.“One of the most powerful parts of the exhibit is a model of Bundelkhand, showing what life looked like before 2019 and what it is in 2025. It’s a side-by-side look at how access to water can change everything—from health to jobs to migration,” Tripathi added. The exhibition also features a photo gallery that traces the challenges and breakthroughs of the Jal Jeevan Mission, showing the people behind the progress. For younger visitors, there is a Selfie Point and a Gaming Zone designed to teach water conservation and health in an interactive way.
