A woman in Uttar Pradesh’s Kanpur accused her in-laws and husband of attempt to murder over dowry demands. Alleging harassment, the woman said her in-laws locked her inside a room with a venomous snake.
She was bitten by the snake and is currently under medical supervision. As per a report by Times of India, the woman was locked with a snake in a room on September 18. After suffering a snakebite, she called her elder sister, who took her to Government Ursala Hospital.

Initially, when they demanded Rs 1.5 lakh for renovation of a room, the woman’s parents gave the money but then they started asking for more money.
When her parents refused, they locked her in the room, took her daughter away and loosed a snake on her.
Man Dies of Snakebite In UP
A 24-year-old man died due to snakebite in UP’s Muzaffarnagar. The man had draped the snake around his neck while recording a video.
The victim, identified as Mohit Kumar, had apparently caught the snake from a neighbouring house in Morna village on Sunday evening, according to Bhopa SHO Omprakash Singh.
He was immediately taken to a hospital where doctors declared him dead. The body has been sent for postmortem, and an investigation is ongoing, the SHO confirmed.
Locals reported that a video of the incident, showing the snake around Mohit’s neck, has surfaced on social media. The snake was later released into a nearby forest.
