After 'Spirit', Deepika Padukone will not be a part of even 'Kalki 2898 AD' sequel with Prabhas, fans react

Deepika Padukone was loved in Prabhas, Amitabh Bachchan starrer ‘Kalki 2898 AD’. Fans were waiting for the film’s sequel but Deepika will not longer be a part of it. The makers have officially made this announcement. The film directed by Nag Ashwin revolved around a group of people set out to save a woman pregnant with Lord Vishnu’s 10th and final avatar, Kalki, from an evil supreme god-king, Yaskin. Deepika played an essential role in the film who was pregnant with the Kalki avatar and fans were waiting fot what’s instore next. Vyajanthi Movies took to their social media and shared, “This is to officially announce that @deepikapadukone will not be a part of the upcoming sequel of #Kalki2898AD. After careful consideration, We have decided to part ways. Despite the long journey of making the first film, we were unable to find a partnership. And a film like @Kalki2898AD deserves that commitment and much more. We wish her the best with her future works.”

This comes after Deepika’s exit from Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s ‘Spirit’ which also starred Prabhas. The actress is rumoured to have a fallout with Sandeep Reddy Vanga after she had put forth some demands. Deepika turned a mom last year and her baby girl Dua turned a year old in September. Since then, the actress is on a maternity break. It was being reported that one of the demands that Deepika put forward was an eight-hour shift, so that she can have a work-life balance and spend time with her daughter. But the eight-hour shift reportedly didn’t go well with the director.
