The couple, identified as Shravan Kumar and Seema Kumari, fell in love while attending a coaching class and had been in a relationship for a year. Seema is from the Sujani area under the Laxmipur police station, while Shravan hails from the Jhajha police station area.

The villagers were unaware of their relationship until they were caught meeting on the banks of the Kathala River on Monday. The crowd grew, and the situation became tense, leading the villagers to conduct the marriage rituals on the spot.

Both families were informed of the incident and initially reprimanded the couple, but eventually arranged the marriage. The boy and the girl are both adults.

On Tuesday, the Mohanpur police station was notified, and under police supervision, a compromise was reached between the two families, officially recognising the marriage.

The Mohanpur police station in-charge confirmed that the matter is now calm, with both families agreeing to the relationship and accepting the marriage. The couple is currently living with their families after the wedding.
