“One of these three diamonds is of gem quality, which is considered to be of very high quality, while the other two are of a little inferior quality,” the official said.

Vinita Gond, a tribal resident of Rajpur in the district, established a mine in the Pati area with her associates after obtaining a lease from the diamond office, Singh shared.

This is not an isolated case of diamond in Panna mine, in July 2025 too, a labourer couple found eight diamonds in Madhya Pradesh mine. The couple from Chhatarpur district discovered at least eight diamonds worth between 10 to 12 lakh rupees from a local mine.

They were digging for the last five years with the hope of finding the precious stone and their hardwork paid off.

Hargovind Yadav and his wife, Pawan Devi Yadav, told the media that they worked every day in the shallow diamond mines of Panna for the past five years before they unearthed the precious stones during their latest excavation.
