Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday extended heartfelt wishes to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 75th birthday, describing him as a symbol of sacrifice, tireless dedication, and transformative leadership.

In multiple posts on X, the Union Home Minister praised Prime Minister Modi’s lifelong commitment to the nation, stating that he has worked relentlessly for over five decades, embodying the principle of “Nation First.”

Amit Shah also shared a video highlighting the Prime Minister’s lifelong contributions. He captioned the video, “Sacrifice, penance, and total dedication for the country is the name of – Shri Narendra Modi Ji…”

Reflecting on his four-decade association with PM Modi, during which he witnessed his journey from an RSS pracharak to Prime Minister, Shah said that Modi has always prioritized the national interest above all.

“For the past four decades, I have had the opportunity to observe Shri Modi ji in various roles. Whether as an RSS pracharak, BJP’s organizational general secretary, Chief Minister of Gujarat, or as the country’s Prime Minister for the past 11 years, Shri Modi ji has always placed the nation first and himself last…” Shah wrote on X.

The Union Minister also credited PM Modi for placing the marginalized—poor, women, backward classes, and tribals—at the heart of governance. “Shri Modi, who brought purity to the system, firmness to decisions, and clarity to policies, has accomplished the unforgettable task of placing the deprived, backward, poor, women, and tribals at the center of governance. The entire nation takes pride in Shri Modi, who has brought unimaginable changes to the lives of crores of countrymen and connected them to the journey of building a ‘Developed’ and ‘Self-Reliant India’,” he tweeted.

Shah also highlighted key achievements under PM Modi’s leadership, including world-class infrastructure projects like the longest bridge in Assam, the Chenab Railway Bridge in Kashmir, and India’s leap in digital transformation with UPI becoming a household tool.

“In areas where development was far from reaching, where people didn’t even communicate, Modi ji has worked to deliver world-class infrastructure in the last 11 years. The longest bridge in Assam, the world’s highest Chenab Railway Bridge in Kashmir, semiconductor units, digital public infrastructure—these are symbols of India becoming number one in every field under the Modi government. Today, when even vegetable vendors on carts proudly display UPI, the meaning of being Narendra Modi becomes clear” he added.

The Union Home Minister also lauded Modi for proving that economic growth and welfare can go hand-in-hand. “Under his leadership, India has become the fourth largest economy from being the 11th largest economy in the world,” he said, citing IMF’s recognition of India as a “bright spot” in the global economy

Further, Shah praised Modi’s global stature, noting that 27 nations have conferred their highest civilian honors on him. “In the era of wars, tensions, and global lobbies, Modi ji has emerged as a bridge of dialogue before the entire world. For this reason, 27 countries of the world have honored the world-friend Modi ji with their highest civilian honors. This is indicative of his global leadership,” Shah further wrote.

From space missions to startups, vaccines to defence, Shah concluded that Modi’s leadership is building a self-reliant, globally respected India that honors its heritage while embracing innovation.

“From the Moon’s South Pole in space to the depths of the ocean in Dwarka, he has brought glory to both heritage and science. Under his leadership, India is today setting new milestones in the space sector. From indigenous COVID vaccines and indigenous defense systems to startups, innovation, ensuring fair prices for farmers’ crops, and up to the manufacturing mission, Modi ji is building an India that is self-reliant in every sector,” he added.
