'They Call Him OG': Fans turn theatre into a disco, dance to Emraan Hashmi's 'Jhalak Dikhlaja'

‘They Call Him OG’, the Pawan Kalyan starrer, has been making waves ahead of its release at the box office. Now a new video of fans’ ecstatic reaction to the film, has gone viral on social media. The clip in question, taken in a cinema, saw fans hooting, cheering and rushing to the front of the cinema. However, this time it was not for a high-octane action scene, or a grand entry or power-packed dialogue, but rather a blast from the past that got fans to their feet.

The viral video sees Emraan Hashmi’s iconic track “Jhalak Dikhlaja” playing on the big screen, as they introduce his character, prompting fans to transform cinema halls into a makeshift dance floor as they all took out their handkerchiefs and got groovy to the track.

About the song

Released in the early 2000s, the song, sung by Himesh Reshammiya, has long enjoyed its status as a party starter. With a ton of nostalgia attached to it, the track proved to be the perfect inclusion to the film.

About ‘They Call Him OG’

Directed by Sujeeth, ‘They Call Him OG’ stars Pawan Kalyan in the lead role, with Emraan Hashmi making his much-hyped Telugu debut. The film has already been generating attention for its high-octane action and star power. The film has triggered huge interest as fans believe it will have Pawan Kalyan wielding a Katana again.The film, which is expected to be high on action, was originally slated to hit screens worldwide on September 27 last year. However, its release was delayed. Now, the film is all set to hit screens almost a year later on September 25 this year.
