‘Welcome To The Jungle’ enters Rs 100 crore club

'Welcome To The Jungle' box office collection Day 4: Akshay Kumar starrer enters Rs 100 crore club worldwide despite expected Monday slowdown

‘Welcome To The Jungle’ witnessed an expected slowdown at the box office on its first Monday after a strong opening weekend.According to early estimates, the comedy starring Akshay Kumar in the lead, saw a major dip in its total collections on Monday, but still managed to sail past the Rs 100 crore mark in four days.A report on Sacnilk states that the entertainer earned an estimated Rs 8.50 crore net in India on Day 4 across 10,922 shows. With this, the film registered a 65.7 per cent drop from Sunday’s collections. The film began its theatrical run with a strong start, earning Rs 3.75 crore from paid preview shows before collecting Rs 15.25 crore on its opening Friday. It continued its upward trend over the weekend, earning Rs 20 crore on Saturday and peaking at Rs 24 crore on Sunday. While trade expectations had pegged the film’s first Monday collections in the double-digit range, the film fell short of that mark, earning an estimated Rs 8.50 crore to its tally. With this, ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ earned an estimated Rs 72.25 crore India net collection in four days. Its gross total collections on the other hand, now stand at Rs 86.53 crore. The film has also maintained a steady performance overseas. It collected Rs 3 crore gross on Day 4, taking its cumulative overseas gross to Rs 19.95 crore. The film’s combined global total, now stands at an estimated Rs 106.48 crore after four days.Despite the sharp Monday drop, the film remains firmly on track to achieve the Rs 90–100 crore net total by the end of its first week, provided that it can keep up the pace through the working week. The film is currently facing competition from the Hindi release ‘Cocktail’.The film will face aditional competition this week with the release of the Hollywood animated comedy, ‘Minions & Monsters’ set to release in cinemas across India on July 2, 2026. The film will face additional competition with the release of the spy-action film ‘Alpha’ starring Alia Bhatt in the lead.A solid first week would also strengthen the film’s prospects for a long theatrical run, with current trends indicating the potential to surpass ₹150 crore in lifetime domestic net collections, provided it maintains momentum in the coming weeks.
