Salman Khan has B-town buzzing over his plans to move out of his famous Galaxy apartments and move into a plush new sea-facing home.The actor has been in the news over reported plans to begin construction on a new residence in Mumbai’s Bandra area which is a stone’s throw away from his current residence. Soon after news broke about the actor’s real estate plans, videos of the alleged sea-facing plot are going viral across social media. Reports state that the property previously housed a two-storey structure that was demolished after being deemed structurally unsafe.

As per news reports, the actor’s new home will be a six-storey residential building constructed on a sea-facing plot registered in the name of Salman Khan’s mother, Salma Khan. The proposed building will have a total built-up area of approximately 1,014 square metres and will be developed by Sach Developers.The proposed home, which will come up in Bandra’s Chimbai, has generated significant buzz among fans after visuals of the currently vacant property surfaced online. The clips doing the rounds on social media show metal sheets erected around the property as it gears up to go in for development.
Salman Khan to relocate with family
According to Hindustan Times, official documents state that the Maharashtra Coastal Zone Management Authority (MCZMA) granted clearance for the residential project on June 16, paving the way for construction to begin. The project had previously received the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation’s (BMC) Intimation of Disapproval (IOD), a preliminary construction approval, in October 2025.Buzz is that Salman and his family could eventually relocate from Galaxy Apartments, where they have resided since 1974.The news of the new home comes after the actor faced threats to his life after a gunman opened fire at his residence in 2024. Following the shooting and multiple death threats, Salman was granted Y+ security. He also upgraded the personal security cover and other security arrangements around his residence.
