A shocking incident has come to light from Nana Kadia village in Nakhatrana taluka of Kutch district, Gujarat. A 40-year-old woman was strangled to death by her own two sons, one of whom is a minor. The shocking crime came to light just hours after it occurred, when both sons were arrested and confessed to the murder during police interrogation.

According to a report by the Times of India, the victim’s father filed an FIR regarding the incident. The entire family had been working as labourers on a farm for the past year.

On the night of the murder, the farm owner informed the victim’s father that his grandson (the woman’s son) had killed her. Upon arriving at the scene, the father found his daughter dead with clear marks of strangulation on her neck.

Details Of The Incident

Police investigations revealed that the elder son is 19 years old, while the younger is a minor. Both sons were reportedly angry with their mother’s behaviour, suspecting her of having an illicit relationship. They claimed she used to talk on the phone late at night and neglected her household duties.

On the night of the incident, seeing their mother on the phone again led them to strangle her together in anger.

Family Background

The woman had been living separately from her husband, who works as a cattle herder and was away at work when the murder took place.

Investigating officer AM Makwana stated that the couple had been married for 20 years but the woman had been keeping her distance from her husband in recent months, which added to the sons’ suspicions.

Aftermath And Legal Action

After committing the murder, both sons spent the night on the farm, staying there until morning. The Nakhatrana police have registered a case under Sections 103(1), 54, and other provisions of the Indian Penal Code.

Further interrogation of the accused is ongoing.
