According to the report, the police said the incident happened hours after he had visited his sister Lakshmi on Sunday evening.

An argument there left him upset. In a fit of rage, he allegedly jumped from the Prestige Jindal City Apartments, the police claimed.

His body was shifted to Nelamangla Public Hospital for a postmortem.

Meanwhile, the police registered a case and were investigating the incident, as per the report.

In Karnataka, a couple allegedly strangled their two children to death before attempting to take their own lives due to mounting financial troubles.

The incident occurred in Gonakanahalli on the outskirts of the city on Saturday evening.

After killing his daughter and son aged 11 and 7, Shivakumar (32) also hanged himself, police told news agency PTI, adding that his wife, Manjula (30), survived as she was rescued timely.

However, Manjula was later arrested on charges of murder.

The neighbours discovered the bodies and alerted the police, helping rescue Manjula just in time before she tried to take her own life, he added.
