A tragic road accident occurred near Delhi’s Dhaula Kuan, where a speeding BMW car fatally struck a Deputy Secretary from the Finance Ministry. The officer, Navjot Singh, succumbed to his injuries, while his wife remains in critical condition. According to reports, the couple had visited Bangla Sahib Gurudwara earlier in the day and were returning home on their motorcycle. Near Rajouri Garden Metro Station (Pillar No. 57), a BMW driven by a woman rammed into their bike at high speed, leading to a severe collision. Visuals of the car reveal the devastating impact—crushed front body, deployed airbags, and significant structural damage. The woman driver and her husband, who was seated beside her, reportedly transported the injured couple to the hospital in a taxi, nearly 17 kilometers away. Unfortunately, Navjot Singh was declared dead on arrival. His wife is undergoing treatment in the same hospital. The driver and her husband have also been admitted for treatment. Delhi Police has registered an FIR and launched a full investigation into the incident, with post-mortem reports awaited to confirm further details. This accident adds to the growing concern over reckless driving and high-speed luxury vehicles in the national capital.
