When Luis Guzmán was asked to describe his Wednesday co-star Catherine Zeta-Jones in one word, his reply, “bellísima” was nothing short of perfect. And tonight, at the 2025 Emmy Awards, Zeta-Jones reminded everyone exactly why the word fits. Making her first appearance at the ceremony in four years, the Academy Award–winning actress arrived at Los Angeles’s Peacock Theater in a dramatic creation from Yara Shoemaker Couture’s Fall/Winter 2025 collection. The strapless black gown combined a structured corset with intricate lace appliqué, flowing into a floor-length skirt embroidered with gleaming beadwork. Elevating the look, Zeta-Jones chose diamonds from Stephen Silver fine jewelry, statement chandelier earrings and two dazzling rings, including a 5.59-carat oval bypass design. Together, her jewels totaled more than 35 carats.

At 55, the Chicago star radiated effortless confidence, pairing her ensemble with luminous, understated beauty. A softly defined brown lip, her signature eyeliner, and sleek waves parted at the center gave the look a timeless finish.

Though she has often attended alongside husband Michael Douglas, this year Zeta-Jones made a solo entrance. More than a red-carpet presence, she also took on presenting duties, joining an impressive lineup that included Angela Bassett, Jennifer Coolidge, Ayo Edebiri, Elizabeth Banks, Eric Dane, and Mariska Hargitay.

Her appearances at the Emmys have been surprisingly rare—tonight marked only her third. She debuted at the 2019 ceremony in a vivid hot-pink Georges Hobeika gown that epitomized Barbie-core chic, complete with asymmetrical neckline, thigh-high slit, and sweeping cape. In 2021, she followed with another standout look before stepping away from the event in recent years.

With her latest return, Catherine Zeta-Jones proved that her elegance is as enduring as her talent making the Emmy red carpet once again her stage.
