Aimé Leon Dore has big moment as it launches on Net-A-Porter and Mr Porter

New York City fashion brand Aimé Leon Dore has launched two mainline collections exclusively across global fashion websites Mr Porter and Net-A-Porter.

Designed to bring the brand’s “distinct rhythm of modern prep, street influence and timeless spirit to its global audiences”, the collections aim to showcase the brand’s “signature balance of comfort and refinement”.

Through silhouette, print and colour, the pieces draw inspiration from 1990s nostalgia, and while anchored in vintage roots, it says the range has a strong contemporary footprint.

For men, the collection introduces relaxed yet polished rugby shirts, lightweight shell jackets and everyday T-shirts reflecting its modern-prep influences.

For women, Net-A-Porter and Aimé Leon Dore worked closely to curate a “fresh offering on how women can style the brand”.

Crew-neck sweatshirts and flannel shirts are updated “with understated versatility”, designed to be layered or worn as statement separates in a trans-seasonal wardrobe.

The first part of the release is the 54-piece men’s collection, available exclusively at Mr Porter and Aimé Leon Dore, and a curated 15-piece women’s collection, available exclusively at Net-A-Porter and Aimé Leon Dore. They’ve just been launched, while the remaining releases will be introduced later in the year.

Daniel Todd, buying director at Mr Porter, said: “We champion designers that shape the cultural conversation in menswear and Aimé Leon Dore has become a true leader in this space. This collection is representative of the easy-to-wear, timeless menswear the brand is known for.”

Brigitte Chartrand, chief buying and merchandising officer at Net-A-Porter, added: “Aimé Leon Dore has emerged as an influential voice in contemporary fashion. The collection captures the brand’s effortless approach to style, while introducing pieces that feel modern, versatile and true to the Net-A -Porter woman.”

These two launches follow quickly on from Aimé Leon Dore launching a limited-edition collaborative collection with US outdoorwear brand The North Face made up of high-end outdoor apparel, equipment, and footwear.
