‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ eyes Rs 450 crore mark in India

'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' box office collection Day 9: Tom Holland starrer hits Rs 417 crore on second Friday; set to surpass 'Avengers: Endgame' record in India

Tom Holland’s ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ continued its strong run at the Indian box office, with the superhero blockbuster recording good growth at the ticket windows on its second Friday.

According to early estimates on sacnilk, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ earned an estimated Rs 14.50 crore net across 13,544 shows in India on Day 9. Meanwhile, the film’s gross total collections for the day hit an estimated Rs 17.36 crore.The second Friday collection saw a 1.8% increase as the film entered its second weekend. With the latest figures, the film’s India net collection has climbed to approximately Rs 349.25 crore, while its India gross collection has reached around Rs 417.63 crore. The film is now less than Rs 1 crore away from crossing the Rs 350 crore net mark in India.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ English version leads the box office

The English version continues to account for the largest share of the film’s earnings in India. Of the total net collections, the English-language version has contributed an estimated Rs 191.35 crore, while the Hindi-dubbed version has accumulated approximately Rs 124.40 crore.The remaining collections have come from the Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam and Kannada versions, which have helped the Marvel release maintain a broad reach across the Indian market.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ crosses Rs 300 crore milestone

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ opened to a phenomenal response in India, collecting Rs 60.60 crore net on Day 1 and going on to score an impressive Rs 77.75 crore net, its highest single-day collection in India. By the end of its extended 8-day week in India, the film had accumulated approximately Rs 334.70 crore net, while its India gross total stood at around Rs 400.21 crore.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ second weekend to shoot past Rs 450 crore

With the second Friday’s earnings now added, the film has pushed its domestic gross beyond Rs 417 crore. With Saturday and Sunday still ahead, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ could witness a significant jump in collections and potentially move past the Rs 450 crore gross milestone, thus officially beating the record set by ‘Avengers: Endgame’ which earned a net collection of roughly Rs 370 crore (and around Rs 445 crore gross).
