'Spider-Man: Brand New Day' box office collection Day 6: Tom Holland's superhero blockbuster races past Rs 360 crore mark in India; eyes Rs 400 crore milestone

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’, directed by Destin Daniel Cretton and starring Tom Holland in the lead, continued its phenomenal run at the Indian box office, showing no signs of slowing down.Spider-Man: Brand New Day Movie ReviewOn Day 6, the Marvel blockbuster collected an estimated Rs 21.50 crore net, taking its total India net collections to Rs 303.25 crore. The film’s gross collections, on the other hand, stand at an estimated Rs 362.61 crore after the film raked in an estimated Rs 25.71 crore. With these impressive numbers in just its first week, the film is now firmly on course to cross the Rs 400 crore gross milestone within days.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ box office breakdown

After delivering a record-breaking extended opening weekend worth Rs 257.95 crore, the superhero spectacle has witnessed a decline during the weekdays. However, the drop has remained well within expectations for a Hollywood film of this scale. Following Monday’s Rs 23.80 crore, the film earned another Rs 21.50 crore on Tuesday, representing a modest 9.7% decline from the previous day’s collections.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ Hindi version remains a surprise performer

The slight fall in collections has largely been attributed to lower weekday occupancy. While the English version recorded an occupancy of around 24%, the Hindi dubbed version continued to perform exceptionally well, registering an impressive 82% occupancy. The English version once again contributed the largest share of the film’s earnings, collecting approximately Rs 11.50 crore on Day 6. The Hindi dubbed version followed closely with an impressive Rs 8 crore, while the Tamil version added Rs 1.20 crore. The Telugu dubbed version earned an estimated Rs 75 lakh, with the Kannada and Malayalam versions contributing a combined Rs 5 lakh.

‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ to cross Rs 400 crore milestone

With Rs 362.61 crore gross already in the bank, ‘Spider-Man: Brand New Day’ is now just a few days away from breaching the coveted Rs 400 crore gross mark in India. The film is also rapidly climbing the list of Hollywood’s highest-grossing releases in India. Having crossed the Rs 360 crore gross milestone within its first week, it now has ample time to challenge the lifetime collections of two of the biggest Hollywood releases ever in India.Marvel Studios’ ‘Avengers: Endgame’ remains the current record-holder with an estimated Rs 438 crore gross, while James Cameron’s ‘Avatar: The Way of Water’ leads the all-time chart with approximately Rs 483 crore gross. If the film can keep up the momentum, ‘Brand New Day’ could potentially surpass both films and become the highest-grossing Hollywood release in India. It also remains in contention to become the first Hollywood film to cross the Rs 500 crore mark at the Indian box office. Go to Source
