Kia India on Monday opened pre-bookings for the all-new Sorento, its first hybrid SUV for the Indian market, ahead of the model’s official launch.

The automaker said the Sorento, its flagship global SUV, will strengthen its premium SUV portfolio by bringing a hybrid powertrain to India for the first time.

The teaser reveals the SUV’s upright stance, pronounced shoulder line and bold front-end design featuring a two-tier lighting signature, offering a first glimpse of the India-spec model.

Since its global debut in 2002, the Sorento has sold more than 4.8 million units across 132 countries and has remained among Kia’s top three best-selling models globally in 2024 and 2025, according to the company.

Interested customers can pre-book the SUV through authorised Kia dealerships or via the company’s website ahead of the official launch.

Kia said further details, including specifications, features and pricing, will be announced closer to the launch.

The company currently sells models including the Seltos, Sonet, Syros, Carens, Carnival, EV6, EV9, Carens Clavis and Carens Clavis EV in India. It has dispatched nearly 1.9 million vehicles from its Anantapur plant, including over 1.5 million domestic sales and 3.67 lakh exports, and operates 892 customer touchpoints across 407 cities.
