COURT UPDATE: Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh Acquitted in Sexual Harassment Case by Delhi Court

Former Wrestling Federation of India chief Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh has been acquitted in the sexual harassment case filed against him. A Delhi court at Rouse Avenue Court Complex has cleared Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh and former WFI assistant secretary Vinod Tomar of the charges, delivering a major development in the high-profile case. Reacting after the court’s decision, Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh said he was satisfied with the verdict and maintained that he had been claiming from the beginning that the allegations against him were not true. He said the court’s decision was a matter of relief for him, his supporters, and his legal team. He also thanked his lawyers for presenting his side before the court. The case had gained nationwide attention after several women wrestlers accused Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of sexual harassment. Following directions from the Supreme Court, a case was registered and the matter proceeded through legal proceedings. According to the arguments presented during the hearing, the defence highlighted alleged inconsistencies and contradictions in the statements related to the allegations. The court, while granting acquittal, considered issues raised during the trial, including changes in statements and questions regarding the presence of the accused at the locations mentioned in the allegations.
