D. Imman makes an emotional statement about betrayal

'Who hasn't faced betrayal in life?': D. Imman makes an emotional statement about why a song from 'Niram' connected with him

The upcoming Tamil film ‘Niram,’ starring Mugen Rao and Preethi Asrani, is gearing up for its theatrical release. The film is already in the middle of its promotional events with the cast and crew interacting with the media ahead of its release. The film’s composer, D. Imman, was present at the recent press meet and spoke on several issues, including a song from the film which is very dear to him.

D. Imman says betrayal is a part of everyone’s life

D. Imman spoke about the betrayal theme and why one of the songs in ‘Niram’ deeply touched him during the interaction. “Who hasn’t faced betrayal in life? Everyone goes through something like that at some point. Lyricist Pa. Vijay has written a song for this film, and those lyrics connected with me in a big way,” he said as reported by News 18.D. Imman added, “It’s not just me. Anyone who listens to the song will relate it to an incident from their own life. The same lines connected with our director, producer, and many others as well.”

Imman explains why the song in ‘Niram’ feels personal

The composer further said that music becomes meaningful only when listeners see their own emotions in it. “The purpose of any creative work is to reach people. When a song’s lyrics connect with the emotions and experiences of many, it brings immense happiness,” Imman shared. He also liked the lyrics by Pa. Vijay, saying they can connect with people from different walks of life. According to him, that emotional connection gives a song lasting value beyond the film itself.

D. Imman urges fans to celebrate Tamil cinema’s National Award recognition

Apart from discussing ‘Niram,’ D Imman also shared his views on the recently announced National Awards. He urged people to look beyond debates over individual winners. “Instead of arguing about whether a particular song or film deserved the award, we should celebrate the fact that our state has received recognition at the national level. It is a victory for all Tamils, and we should be proud of it rather than questioning whether someone was deserving,” he said.
