Soon after, a clip from the video spread across social media. Many viewers believed one of Green’s comments sounded like an AI-generated response. Green later checked his script and research notes. He said the line in question was not written by ChatGPT. According to him, it was something he said on the spot while talking about a disagreement with Soupytime.However, Green admitted that he had used ChatGPT to help with research for the episode. He explained that he had been depending too much on AI-generated notes because he was very busy and under a lot of pressure while making videos. He called it a “bad habit” and accepted that it was the wrong choice. Green also made it clear that AI did not write his script and that he still formed his own opinions after reading and learning from different sources.
