Shillong Teer lottery combines traditional archery with the thrill of winning cash prizes. Widely popular in Meghalaya, it not only offers attractive rewards but also helps in promoting the age-old sport of archery.
HOW TO PLAY SHILLONG LOTTERY?
The Shillong Teer lottery is conducted in two quick rounds, each lasting approximately two minutes. In the first round, skilled archers shoot 30 arrows, followed by 20 arrows in the second round.
Participants place their bets by selecting a number between 0 and 99, predicting how many arrows will hit the target. Tickets are sold at licensed counters in denominations of Rs 1, Rs 5, Rs 10, Rs 20, and Rs 50. The prize depends on both the ticket value and the accuracy of the prediction.
For instance, a correct guess in the first round with a Rs 1 ticket earns Rs 80, while a correct prediction in the second round gives Rs 60. Players who accurately predict both rounds can win up to Rs 4,000 with just a Rs 1 ticket.
