Sudesh Berry calls PM Modi Lord Vishnu's avatar, says he wants to wash his feet and drink the water

Actor Sudesh Berry sparked controversy after saying he wants to wash PM Modi’s feet and drink the water, calling him “an avatar of Lord Vishnu” bringing “Ram Rajya.” On a podcast, he also revealed rejecting a CJP invite, criticising the party as unproductive. His remarks drew backlash online, with many calling it blind faith.

Veteran actor Sudesh Berry has courted controversy after stating he wishes to wash PM Modi’s feet and drink the water, crediting him for bringing India closer to “Ram Rajya.” The actor further revealed that he had recently turned down an invitation to join CJP.

Sudesh Berry reveals he rejected an offer to join CJP

Sudesh has ignited a political controversy following bold statements about the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) and Prime Minister Narendra Modi, made during his appearance on the Akampani Akki podcast. Excerpts from the interview have since gone viral online, drawing strong reactions from social media users. According to Berry, he was once approached to join the CJP but turned down the offer. Recounting the episode, he said, “I got a call to join the party, but I blocked the number. I had no interest in joining them.”

Sudesh Berry slams CJP, alleges backing by industrialists

The actor further slammed the party, stating, “People who sit at Jantar Mantar and form new parties are not doing anything for the country. Instead of protesting all the time, do something useful for old-age homes or children. That will make a difference.” He also accused such groups of hindering the nation’s progress, alleging they had the backing of certain industrialists. In another sharp remark, Berry added, “These people have no class, no worth. They are only stopping the country’s development instead of contributing to it.”

Sudesh Berry defends PM Modi, speaks on education system

In the same conversation, Berry came out strongly in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, questioning why some people constantly criticise him. “What has Narendra Modi done to you? He made India famous all over the world after starting out by selling tea. Some people simply cannot digest his success,” the actor said. He also touched upon the education system, remarking, “What is the point of becoming highly educated or even an IAS officer if you eventually choose corruption? Education should make you a better human being.”

Sudesh Berry calls PM Modi an avatar of Lord Vishnu

Berry wrapped up the podcast by voicing his deep admiration for the Prime Minister in highly personal terms. “I want to wash Modiji’s feet and drink that water. I don’t know him personally. Just as we worship God without seeing Him, I respect Modiji the same way. For me, he is an avatar of Lord Vishnu. He is not an ordinary man. He is bringing Ram Rajya to this country,” he said.
