The shooting comes amid heightened tensions surrounding his tour. According to The Deseret News, over 6,000 people have signed a petition urging Utah State University to cancel Kirk’s upcoming appearances at the campus.
In response to the incident, US President Donald Trump posted a message on Truth Social, offering support and prayers for Kirk’s recovery. “We must all pray for Charlie Kirk, who has been shot. A great guy from top to bottom. GOD BLESS HIM!” the president wrote.

FBI Director Kash Patel also issued a statement, confirming that the agency is monitoring the situation closely. “Agents will be on the scene quickly, and the FBI stands in full support of the ongoing response and investigation,” Patel stated.
