ETimes verdict on ‘Jana Nayagan’

ETimes, in its ‘Jana Nayagan’ review, wrote, “By the time we get to the climax, we are in an over-the-top realm of remote-controlled warfare and social media-amplified hate campaigns that are happening overnight in hardly believable manner. But Vijay holds it all together. The earnestness in his performance and the politically loaded lines (“50 varushama arasiyal pannitirukara kudumbam”, “Motha Tamizhachigaloda aaseervaadhamum ennikum unga kooda irukkum”) sort of keep us interested. And Anirudh does his part by adding punch to the scenes. But as a farewell vehicle to one of Tamil cinema’s greatest entertainers, Jana Nayagan deserved to have been better.”DISCLAIMER: The box office numbers and the data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
