'I support a democratic India'; Jyotika backs students protest against the alleged irregularities in the NEET examination

Taking to social media, Jyotika has backed the student protests happening for or against the alleged irregularities in the NEET examination with a strong statement. The actor demanded the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and said she stood in solidarity with the students and their demand for accountability and education reforms.

Jyotika demands Dharmendra Pradhan’s resignation in support of students

In a post shared on her social media account, Jyotika wrote, “Step down, Dharmendra Pradhan. Resign. I stand with the students and the future of our nation. I stand with accountability. I stand for a democratic India. I stand for a reformed education.” Her post went viral in no time, and many users reacted to her support for the student movement and its demands.

Actor praises Sonam Wangchuk and student leaders in her message

Jyotika also mentioned environmentalist Sonam Wangchuk and student activists Abhijeet Dipke and Saurav Das in her post. “Sonam Wangchuk, Abhijeet Dipke and Saurav Das, as mothers we want to raise our children to be like you. Proud of you, Gen Z, for being unfiltered. You have proved that together ‘WE’ are India,” she wrote. The actor praised the younger generation for speaking up and standing firm on issues they believe in.

Jyotika thanks students for their courage and determination

In her concluding statement, Jyotika thanked the students for continuing their protest and raising their voice. “Thank you for breaking the pressure. Thank you for making us fearless. Jai Hind,” she added. Her comments have also lent another celebrity voice to the public conversation surrounding the students’ protest, with her message continuing to rack up shares on social media.
